Instead of our normal meeting yesterday we took the whole day to spend in 'Workshop' mode considering many different aspects of Creative Writing including: - Characters - Plot - Points of View - Writing Dialogue - Story Beginnings all under the guidance of the TWC chairman, Nik Morton There really is a lot involved in writing both short stories and full length novels. It was an interesting day and hopefully many of the group will now be able to produce work to enter some upcoming short story competitions.

Spain is still suffering the associated problems of having had a monopoly situation with the country's telephone and internet provider - in that they are arrogant to deal with and expensive. But now the market has changed and there are plenty of other providers to select from - however which one and what are they actually offering? It is a minefield through which we started walking 2 weeks ago - we settled on Orange and after the wait, their sending of the wrong router we have now more or less established the connections. The 6 year old laptop works (it fact it is rejuvenated on a 10MB line!) my PC works on a Wi-Fi link but my partner's PC, cabled into the router, is still playing up! So changing can bring financial benefits and a faster line but with a lot of stress! (Unless you are an internet communications genius)

Being a former student of the Writers Bureau (WB) I was invited to be their first editor for a new on line magazine (Ezine) called Chapter and Verse. It is intended for the WB students to have an opportunity to get their work published as part of their writing career path. I am delighted that the first edition has now been published and I would love you take a peek but it can only be accessed by WB students. Perhaps you fancy taking a WB course - there are many different types and genres and currently there are some special offers.

Due to trying to change internet provider to save money we currently have no internet service so its back to internet cafes whilst we await reconnection! Given most of the keyboards have had the letters worn off the keyboards it is great fun typing - surprising how your fingers do know where to strike the keys, well most of the time! Life without internet - now there is an idea for an article.
