Yesterday I interviewed the British Consul in Alicante: Juliet Maric, for a forthcoming article. She shared many interesting facts and information about her role and what goes on in the Consul offices etc. She also allowed me to take some photographs of her with artwork by TJ Miles (professional Surrealist painter, see earlier blogs and link to TJs blogs, in the background. I have also recently interviewed TJ and that will also be published soon) In addition I also spoke to the Dept. of Work and Pensions (DWP) advisor to answer the many questions posted by TIM readers on the TIM Forum. Unfortunately the interview missed the TIM February deadline but will be published in the March edition. The DWP information will be posted on the Forum ASAP and we hope to get the DWP to contribute on a regular basis.

Holidays over and it is back to the world of writing - we had a full turn out for this mornings Torrevieja Writers Circle (see their blog) meeting and a very interesting guest speaker. Liane Carter, a published author. My interview with Horace (author: Do The Birds Still Sing In Hell? see blog Dec 17th) has had to be postponed due to ill health but next Monday I have an interview with the British Consul in Alicante and the readers of The Inland Magazine have been busy posting questions on the TIM website I had another bargain on Amazon - Nikon D40 camera delivered (UK) for 227 pounds - incredible! No wonder people are shopping online!

Just back from a trip down to Andalucia to say good bye to some good friends who unfortunately have to return to the UK - more casualties of the crisis. After a short UK break I shall be returning to Spain and getting back to work with 2 interviews scheduled plus other new projects for 2009! If you are shopping online check out Amazon - they really do seem to have some great prices at the moment - including 'free' delivery! They are selling Word 2007 cheaper than Microsoft!

I received the sad news today that another victim has been claimed by the crisis - the magazine The Xpat Spain is no more. However the web site lives on and I have been invited to continue blogging onto the site on anything "that arouses your interest here in Spain" So at least I have a pretty broad scope! Take a visit - you never know what you will find!
