The new magazine `Siesta Time´ has now been published - it is available in both Spain and the UK. It is intended as a Leisure and Puzzle magazine packed with fun puzzles, articles, stories and a touch of humour.
I am proud to be amongst the first contributors with my article `The Coming of the Mother in Law´and a feature (published under a pen name David John) `Do You Remember When?´
I hope the circulation soon builds up and that it is a success.
For the 2nd edition I am busy writing a short story and a further Do You Remember When.......

Find your own lines Alan!
This extract from an article I wrote on May 2nd 2008:
IN SPAIN Expat life has been good for most until the sub prime mortgage crisis generated a financial tsunami the waves of which are still flooding in.
This from the BBC news website today - October 24th 2008:
Former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan has called the recent turmoil in the global financial markets a "once in a century credit tsunami".
Perhaps I will move into speech and script writing!

Had a great time but....
Just got back from a trip to Blighty - caught up with some old friends and met some new ones. But (there always is one) I just could not believe the prices on some things! Incredible.
There have been many changes since I lived there, apart from the prices, so I am thinking of writing an article along those lines.
Now it is time to get back to work to make those deadlines.....

Awesome Music and Great Cars!
The Bryan Adams concert was truly awesome - he may have a few years on the clock but he still gives a great concert - the sell out crowd really enjoyed themselves including me! He did all his well known numbers plus some from his new album `Eleven´
Following day I was at The local classic Car Clubs anniversary celebrations - posing in an MG around the San Miguel fiesta - followed by a drive out into the country, hood down, wind in hair (and sun in eyes) brilliant!
Anybody got a classic car for sale? - guess who wants one!

October looks like being a busy month!
The 1st weekend of October is going to be busy for me as I am going to the Bryan Adams concert in the Volvo Ocean Race Village on Saturday night and will be writing a review for The Inland Magazine (TIM, November edition) followed by on Sunday I am an invited guest to The Phoenix Classic Car Clubs special anniversary day - and this will also appear in TIM with (hopefully) some great photos of the members classic cars.
Other projects in hand include a walking article, some entries for competitions and maybe my weeks sojurn in the south of England will generate some thoughts for an article.
I am also working on some ideas for TIM and awaiting confirmation from the new magazine, to be launched shortly on the Costa Blanca, of some articles that I have submitted.
More to follow.............
